Services
A Relational Approach
As a family therapist, I am a relational therapist. So, that means we will be talking about your relationships; whether it is your relationship with yourself, your friends and family or to larger contexts like your community, workplace, or culture. We will look at the patterns in your life that are serving you and the ones you would like to change. We will work to better understand the function of boundaries in your life and to help you identify and accept the large spectrum of feelings and needs we experience as human beings. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and we will work together to ensure that the process of therapy works for you. I also believe that I am not going to be the right fit for everyone and if that is the case for you in our work together, I will work with you to give you referrals for therapists who may be a better fit or have an identity or specialization that is better matched for your needs. Therapy is for you and should work for you.

Individual Therapy
Individual counseling is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Individual counseling involves looking at overall patterns in your life, boundaries with yourself and others and ways to decrease stress while considering your unique experience and needs.
Couples Therapy
Couples counseling is defined by partners in a committed relationship who are treated at the same time by a therapist. Couples often seek therapy when they are experiencing problems between the individuals or are experiencing a major life transition that affects one or more partners in the relationship. Couples therapy is a place to establish norms about how to communicate effectively with one another about difficult subjects and to move through these life transitions.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is two or more family members working with a therapist to address issues in the family system. Treatment is inclusive of the whole family and opens up communication about feelings and needs, boundaries and current or historical issues in the family around loss/grief, trauma, abuse and addiction.
Gender Affirming Care Assessments
Currently, individuals seeking gender affirming care are required to have an assessment completed by a therapist in order to receive letters of support for gender affirming care. I am aware of the stress and harm that this type of gatekeeping causes the trans and non-binary community and I am committed to completing the assessment in a kind, trauma-informed manner and am open to completing the assessment over time in a way that fits with your needs. Most of the clients I complete assessments and letters for are ongoing clients that either started working with me before or during this process and I have found that it does help to provide consistent support around transition. For now, I am asking that all youth seeking gender affirming care are working with me as a client on a weekly or bi-monthly basis. If you are an adult who is interested in a stand alone assessment and letter process, please feel free to request that when you reach out to request an appointment.
Telehealth
We currently provide telehealth services only and will work with clients to refer to appropriate in person services based on the client’s treatment needs.
Telehealth is conducted via secure, HIPAA compliant video / audio conferencing platforms with measures taken to ensure that clients can make an informed decision regarding their care needs and have adequate privacy and supports to engage in mental health care via telehealth.
